Dietary Administrative Support Services is one of two programs which provide nutritional enhancement services for the Meals program. The other is called Effective Nutritional Health Assessment and Networks of Care for the Elderly (Enhance).
DASS contracts with Consulting Nutritional Services to provide centralized dietary services and oversight at food production locations with
Area Agency on Aging
nutrition services providers. This provides compliance with menu development, food production, safety and sanitation.
Both programs provide assurance that the nutritional needs of the
elderly are being met in the most efficient and individually sensitive manner.
