In response to a critical need to promote employment opportunities for individuals 55 years of age and older, Congress established the
Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). Networking with non profit and public agencies, this valuable program provides participants with subsidized on-the-job training experiences to help them learn new job skills necessary in today’s workplace.
SCSEP’s ultimate goal is to equip older works with skills to enable them to transition into unsubsidized employment.
Older workers are a national resource. Programs such as
SCSEP enable our senior citizens to tap their true potential, earn valuable dollars, and enrich their lives.
