Los Angeles County
Workforce Investment Board

The Los Angeles County Workforce Investment Board is certified by the state in partnership with The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. The Los Angeles County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) is comprised of representatives from private sector businesses, organized labor, community-based organizations, local government agencies, and local education agencies.

The Los Angeles County Workforce Investment Board administers the distribution of federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funds that are allocated through the State of California to help to support the WorkSource Centers and other local programs and services that benefit adult and youth job seekers, dislocated workers, and businesses in Los Angeles County.

This Board’s mandate is to provide key policy decisions affecting the local workforce development system, and to identify and certify WorkSource California Centers in Los Angeles County that are designated as Workforce Investment Areas. Their role includes developing policies that better serve people with disabilities in the One-Stop Career Centers.

The Los Angeles County Workforce Investment Board's vision of the local workforce investment system is to integrate services in the WorkSource California Centers, providing universal access to career and labor market information and services to our customers to make better informed choices.
