The Altadena Community Center is operated by the Department of Community and Senior Services of Los Angeles County. The Center is truly a unique public-private partnership; from the conceptual stage through design and completion of the building, Altadena community members and leaders of civic organizations worked alongside County representatives.
The Altadena Community Center opened its doors on July 12, 2003 with funding provided by County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich. The Center serves as a community meeting place and a town hall. It also houses several community based organizations:
· Altadena Town Council
· Altadena Chamber of Commerce
· Altadena Branch of the NAACP
· Altadena Historical Society
· Altadena Heritage
· Altadena Foothills Conservancy
· Sheriff’s Support Group of Altadena
· Quality of Life Center, Inc.
The Center includes a community room, offices, kitchen and a museum. The community room can be reserved for meetings and other special events.
