The Asian Community Service Center is a multipurpose center designed to enrich the needs of the community by offering educational, health related, human and social services. The center collaborates with health care providers, licensed social workers and job developers to meet families and individuals basic needs. Staff provides information on Affordable Care Act, crisis intervention, assistances with filling out forms, short-term case management, emergency food assistance, and referrals to emergency and transitional housing programs, caregivers support groups, and linkage to appropriate government and community based organizations.



  • Also known as the Pantry Program, provides food to low-income families, individuals and seniors in the Gardena area. We accept food donations from individuals and organizations. Eligibility is not required to access this program. The Center accepts referrals from social workers, health care providers and 211. Please call the center to schedule food appointment or donations, walk-in daily Monday thru Friday 8:00am. – 4:00pm.

  • This program provides an assortment of age and socially appropriate toys, games and books to children ages 3 months to 13 years old. The program has a code of conduct and incentive plan. Children may borrow toys once a week and are rewarded for returning toys in good condition and on time during the duration of their membership. Membership is free and requires a parent or guardian to register the child in the program. Donations of new toys and books and used toys and books that are in good conditions are accepted, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • Staff provides education on how to prepare for a natural disaster. The information will provide you with, preparedness checklists, guidelines and other helpful information to keep you informed and safe.

  • Staff and Volunteers provide a friendly phone call to homebound seniors to ensure social, health and safety needs.

  • Indochinese Youth Community Center (IYCC) – Provide culturally relevant and language appropriate services for Asian Pacific Islanders youth and families in Los Angeles County. Staff provides support services, job development, gambling counseling and help filing out application for DPSS Cal Fresh (Food Stamps) and Edison energy assistance program and information on Cover California For more information, call (310) 768-8064.

  • This Older Adults Program offers intensive case management and counseling for older adults, ages 55 years and older suffering from depression, anxiety and other mental health conditions. Staff also provides home visits, caregivers support, transportation, and handyman services. Eligibility Criteria depends on the service needs of the individual.   • Is committed to meeting the specific cultural and language need of Asian Pacific Islander women and their families when dealing with family violence and violence against women. Services include: 24 hours hotline and intervention services. Emergency shelters (ES), Transitional shelter (TS), Community-based advocacy, including building an emergency response service for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.   • Professional health care team provides adult and children therapy services; mental health evaluation, consultation and referral; crisis intervention, medication evaluation and treatment. Other programs and services include: Transitional Youth Programs, psycho-social rehabilitation prevocational; Community Living Program; Cal WORKS and GAIN/GROW programs, Job Development, and Wellness program.
